Convenience access numbers
You dial an access number to connect with the EasyCall system. The following recommendations will help you choose the best number to use each time.
When to use the Convenience access number
- When you don't know the local access number or you are somewhere in New Zealand that does not have an EasyCall local access number. The convenience access number can be used from just about anywhere in New Zealand.
- If you do not have any coins and would like to use a payphone to make a call. You will not need to insert any coins into the payphone if you dial the Convenience access number.
- Calls from landlines attract an extra $0.06 per minute charge when using the Convenience access number.
- Calls from NZ payphones and mobiles attract an extra $0.30 per minute charge when using the Convenience access number.
- Please note, our call rates are lower when you connect through the local access number rather than the convenience access number.
- EasyCall is not liable for any charges imposed on calls made to access EasyCall Services such as charges imposed by hotels, motels, mobile carriers, mobile roaming or payphones.
